What can the CAPR Program offer you? Written by Harold Stanfield
The CAPR and Eaglevision have been very instrumental with the current state that I am in regarding the parole that was granted me.

Before being released back to society, my future was looking bleak.  I had no idea where I was going to live or how I would survive after ten years of incarceration.  This is where the CAPR Program was very helpful.  Once released, I was temporarily housed in a quarter-house, only to be moved into my own apartment almost two weeks later.  I am grateful to be benefiting from the CAPR Program.

There is a lot of negativity that is voiced pertaining to the M.D.O.C., and I had been a participant of that negativity.  But, if you are serious about taking control of your life and changing the way convicted felons are viewed, the M.D.O.C., CAPR, and Eaglevision will help you every step of the way.

As a condition of receiving help from the above mentioned I have to attend Career Club which is ran by Eaglevision Ministries.  The club is all help and no harm.  I would attend on my own event if I wasn’t told to do so by my parole officer.  Derrick, Kevin, and Amy are all dedicated to the services that they provide.  I am grateful for each of them.  I have seen guys that have taken Eaglevision’s time and effort for granted.  We should be appreciative of anyone that cares enough to take us though each step of finding employment and moving on with our lives.

In closing, I would like to add that along with support of family members, the CAPR Program fits right into my plans of moving forward with my life and continuing to be a productive member of society. Written by: Harold Stanfield CAPR Participant

Re: Eaglevision CAPR Program Staff

Mr. Oliver, this letter is to inform you how grateful I am for the support, direction, and true caring I have received from the Eaglevision CAPR Program Staff.  I am a long time (Re: in & out since 1978) felon and never have I received the kind of support I have encountered from any previous client provider involved in my future.

Thank you Nancy for getting these wonderful people to help me!  Never, I do mean never, have I done so well upon release from the M.D.O.C.!  I would especially like to tell you how inspirational Mr. Derrick Jones is.  Wow, what a committed, caring, and good man he is.  I honestly feel blessed.  Also, Kevin and Amy, awesome is all I can say.  Kevin, in particular, has the gift of being a natural teacher.  His help with my computer skills is second to none.

Again, Ms. Oliver, I know that your selection of these people will ensure that I will not fail.  PS: Please feel free to tell anyone of my support. Written by:  William R. Augenstein CAPR Participant

Taylor CAPR Participant

“If I wasn’t involved with Eaglevision, attending the Monday night meetings for support in my recovery and life, meeting with my case manager consistently, etc, I probably would have relapsed this past week when I failed my math test at LCC. I realized that I am coping with this disappointment while staying clean which is new and uncomfortable for me, and I appreciate Eaglevision’s support as I continue to grow in my job search and recovery.” Written by: Anonymous, Women’s Monday Night Support Group
