Dislocated Workers and Displaced Homemakers
CAP and Adult Programs are workforce development programs for dislocated workers, displaced homemakers, and adult clients. Participants are eligible for training accounts and on-the-job training grants. Participants receive one-on-one career counseling and an individual plan and may be eligible for re-training or additional skills coursework. Supportive group sessions focus on job search skills, personal finances, healthy relationships, substance abuse, and health maintenance are also offered as a part of this program. Each participant who has been a part of this group has learned valuable fundamental workforce related concepts which have lead to better employment.

Youth Career Development (paid work experiences)
The Youth Program is an educational and career development program for youth ages 17-21 years needing to complete high school or GED and are low income or otherwise at-risk. E-Mentoring, career development, job shadowing, and paid work experiences are integral components of the system. Computer skills are also emphasized.
Participants receive individual career counseling and planning and may be eligible for advanced training. Support group sessions, on job search skills, personal finances, healthy relationships, substance abuse, and health maintenance are also offered as part of the program. Eligible youth are carefully screened for enrollment. Enrollees are referred by churches, community agencies, the court system and other agencies. Program meetings encourage and motivate participants to make good choices and work toward self-sufficiency.

What is Eaglevision's Mentoring Program
The Eaglevision Mentoring program is an opportunity to receive much needed support from caring individuals.  The mission of each mentor is to uplift, encourage and empower their mentees.  Eaglevision mentors will offer sound advice, help each participant set goals and reach them. Eaglevision Ministries, Inc. is seeking individuals to mentor a youth participant involved in Eaglevision’s Youth Career Development (YCD) Program.  The YCD program is an educational and career development program for youth ages 17-21 years old needing to complete high school or obtain a GED and are low income or otherwise at-risk.  The purpose of the program is to enhance the employability of the youth participants by teaching them career readiness skills and addressing a wide array of other needs that the youth may have... YouthBuild
YouthBuild is a youth and community development program that simultaneously addresses core issues facing low-income communities: housing, education, employment, crime prevention, and leadership development. Substance Abuse & Chemical Dependency Support
Clinical screening for determination of level of substance abuse and level of needed intervention is administered to all applicants to the program. Assessment for willingness to change is completed for those determined to need intervention. Individual and/or group counseling is provided based upon participant needs and treatment plan.

This program is designed to produce cognitive and behavioral changes related to drug use and criminal activity. An action plan is implemented to develop positive life skills to prevent relapse.
Provision of or referrals for community services leading to healthy family relationships, stable housing, economic independence, abstinence from alcohol and drugs and avoidance of criminal behaviors are available to all participants.
Weekly substance abuse support groups meet every Monday at 4 P.M. at the Capital Area Michigan Works Building 2110 S. Cedar St. Lansing, MI 48910.
